Users & Roles

Secure your organization by inviting team members with appropriate access levels.

Managing Users

Navigate to Authentication > Users.

Inviting a User

  1. Click + Invite User.
  2. Email: Enter their email address.
  3. Role: Select the Role (see below).
  4. They will receive an email with a link to set their password.

Devices Assignment

By default, "Users" can see all devices in the tenant which the "Manager" allows. However, you can restrict this:

  • Assignment: Go to Management > Device Assignments. Connect a specific User to specific Devices.
  • Effect: That user will now only see data and alerts for those assigned devices.

Understanding Roles

  • Tenant Admin: Has full control over the tenant, including billing and user management.
  • Manager: Operational control (can edit devices/rules) but cannot manage billing or delete the tenant.
  • User: Read-only access. Good for monitoring staff.

Custom Roles

(If enabled in your plan) You can create custom roles in Authentication > Roles.

  • Example: "Maintenance Team" -> Can view devices and acknowledge notifications, but cannot edit rule-chains.
